Right2Grow

Right2Grow is a global partnership that spans six strategic countries: Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Mali, South Sudan, and Uganda. This five-year project (2021-2025) is funded by the Dutch Government under the Civil Society Strengthening – Power of Voices program.

THP-E is implementing the Right2Grow project in SNNPR, Gurage Zone, starting from March 1, 2021. The project is implemented in collaboration with local implementing partners and each consortium partner has identified a local partner in its respective operating region.

Consequently, THP-E has identified GDCA which is responsible for activities implemented at Woreda and Kebele levels while THP-E is responsible for activities implemented at national and regional scales. The project adopts a multi-sectoral approach toward addressing under-nutrition and WASH service gaps by coordinating CSOs, CBOs, Communities, the Government, and the private sector. THP-E facilitates and manages the coordination of these actors in the southern region and contributes to the deliberation of national-scale implementation by the consortium. Six Woredas are targeted in the Gurage zone namely: Cheha, Endegagn, Abeshege, Geta, MuhurAklil, and Gedebano Gutazer Wolene Woredas. The project aims at achieving all children under five (CU5) are well-nourished so that every child can reach their full potential. To ensure all CU5 are well-nourished, changes in mindset and behavior are required at all levels from the household up to the state. The outcome of the project is to enable Ethiopian decision-makers to address under-nutrition jointly and effectively in a multi-sectoral, gender-sensitive, and inclusive way.
