So far, about 201 farmers in Goiban, Mekcho, Dobi, and Dagagogot kebeles have received 603 kg of vermi worms to produce organic fertilizer locally. The initiative is supported by training, technical assistance, and continuous follow-up.

The worms were purchased from 47 local farmers, creating income opportunities and strengthening local production systems.

Farmers shared their experiences:

Yirgu Mesganaw (Dobi kebele) said: “The vermicompost training and worms we received are helping us improve soil fertility and achieve better yields.”

Sofiya Endiris (Tebong kebele) said, “I thank THP-E for the opportunity to create market access. I am already using vermicompost in my farm and also sharing the knowledge with other farmers so they can benefit.”
