THP-E Launches “Nature First Project” to Strengthen Climate Resilience and Livelihoods.
The Hunger Project–Ethiopia /THP-E/, with support from the Chahabadi Foundation through The Hunger Project Germany, has launched the “Nature First Project,” a key initiative designed to enhance climate resilience and promote sustainable livelihoods in Meskan Woreda, East Gurage Zone, in the Central Ethiopia Region.
During the launch event, Dr. Regassa Terefe, Program Manager of THP–E, presented the project’s objectives and implementation plans, highlighting initiatives aimed at contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation, rehabilitating farmland, and engaging 720 rural households in agroforestry and sustainable land management practices.
Participants from regional and zonal government offices expressed a strong commitment to collaborate. At the same time, THP-E urged all stakeholders to maintain partnership and collective action, emphasizing that joint efforts are essential for resilient communities and thriving livelihoods.
